Mindmapping and presenting the result

What is kdissert?

Kdissert (now Semantik) is a mindmapping-like tool to help students to produce complicated documents very quickly and efficiently : presentations, dissertations, thesis, reports.

In short:

Kdissert is a mindmapping tool like freemind. It helps building textes and using the results for presentations rather than just playing arround with ideas in a brainstorming session.

Advantage:

The main advantage is the ability to generate html, oppenoffice presentation or latex documents (article or beamer presentation). I refer to kdissert because ubuntu 7.10 still has kdissert 1.0.6c in the universe repository that is based on kde3. The main reason for using this tool is the latex generation abiltiy.

Installing:

sudo apt-get install kdissert

Using the tool is intuitive.

You will find the latex export feature under Tools->Generate Documents->Templates->Latex->Beamer presentation.
