Container loaded for transport to South Africa
17 volunteers came on Saturday morning to pack the first container to South Africa. Due to the excellent preparation by Franz the complete hardware was loaded into the container within 2,5 hours.

Although temperatures at the beginning of the week had been like spring, on Saturday one could get the impression that winter came back. So the Linux4Africa team was again happy to enjoy the hospitality of the  radio amateurs in their club house. There the L4A packers could warm themselves and have pizza for lunch.

Afterwards the container was sealed up and the storeroom was cleaned. Now there is only a little material left in the storeroom for Kenya and Mozambique.

Early on Monday morning we expect the truck which takes the container to Bremerhaven. From there it will be shipped to East London in South Africa. At the end of April our partner  Rommel Roberts will receive the container.

In the summer Franz and HP plan to do some training together with the Hilltop team in South Africa and help to equip the first schools with the computers there.
