To make our Linux4Afrika project even better known in Germany, we have started to deploy standalone computers to German Kindergarden or Primary schools. Of course a three dimensional desktop would look much nicer. Therefore we have equiped our stand alone solution with compiz-fusion for 3D effects. We also have tested 3D on the Edubuntu Terminalserver successfully (not the clients!).

A machine with 800 Mhz and 512 MB RAM should be able to run it. Best idea is to start 3D manuallly, so every user may decide whether to go for graphics or performance.
